Each December, downtown Ada transforms into a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights, festive music, and the joyful spirit of the season. Christmas on Main has become one of Ada’s most anticipated community events — a celebration that brings families, friends, and neighbors together to kick off the holidays in true small-town style.
A Tradition That Shines Bright. For decades, Christmas on Main has drawn visitors from across the region to experience the magic of the season in the heart of Ada. Hosted by Ada Main Street, the event showcases the very best of our downtown — from local shopping and delicious food to heartwarming entertainment and family fun.
Throughout the day, visitors can stroll along Main Street and enjoy vendor booths, food trucks, live performances, and activities for all ages. Children can meet Santa, take part in holiday games, or catch a Christmas movie at the McSwain Theatre. The shops are decked out in holiday décor, offering the perfect opportunity to shop local and support Ada’s small businesses.
The Pat Taylor Memorial Parade of Lights
The highlight of the celebration is the Pat Taylor Memorial Parade of Lights, a dazzling evening parade that fills downtown with illuminated floats, marching bands, and holiday cheer. The parade honors the late Pat Taylor, whose love for Ada and community spirit left a lasting mark on Main Street. Naming the parade after her ensures that her legacy of kindness, service, and civic pride continues to shine each year.

Today, Christmas on Main continues to grow, with new activities and attractions joining the cherished traditions of years past. From photo ops and themed displays in Central Park to festive shopping promotions and downtown lighting, the event keeps evolving while staying true to its roots.
The 2025 celebration will take place on Saturday, December 6, featuring a full day of holiday festivities downtown and the Pat Taylor Memorial Parade of Lights at 7:00 p.m. The parade theme this year is “Candy Cane Lane” — sure to fill the streets with sweet holiday magic!
